According to the article below, the Kang Nam is expected to dock in Thilawa Port harbour, Myanmar (Burma) in a few days. The timing is significant as it would arrive on or very close to the anniversary of the North Korean invasion of South Korea June 25, 1950. The North Koreans are big on symbolic anniversaries. If that is the case, they may be taunting the US, a deliberate provocative dare if you will. No strong astrological aspects to speak of on the 25th. The US may lose its nerve and not press for inspection…..

North Korea War Likely on June 24-26, 2009

Saturn is fast approaching North Korea’s sun, the effects of which we have seen in the past few weeks.

There is also a trine to the natal sun from the transiting venus-mars conjunction that could serve to ease out any military obstacles. This happens to be quite exact on June 24, 2009, so the military action could be around this time.

On second look, it is exact on June 26, 2009, 7:08 am Bangalore time.

As you can see, there is also a yod from pluto and the jupiter-neptune-chiron triple conjunction to the south node. Now, south node definitely indicates war, and with such a triple yod of two transcendental planets (neptune, pluto) and jupiter pointing to the south node, it’s very likely the omen of a World War.

Pluto at 27Cap in US natal chart opposes the south node point of the yod, so whatever is done on this day, the US will be against it.

The Chinese chart (Oct. 1, 1950) had been discussed a couple of weeks ago - Natal Pluto at 17 Leo squared by tr. Mars 17/18 Taurus. I haven’t really studied the chart to be quite frank - just a quick glance. Nor have I looked at the Russian chart.

Correction: Revise that to October 1, 1949.

Somalia is falling apart again. Not that it hasn’t been a mess since 91. The Ethiopian invasion’s impact was short-lived, which I suspected at the time would be the case once the Ethiopian forces withdrew and the Islamic radicals reasserted themselves in Somalia as they have done.

The U.S. Department of Defense is “on edge” over the turmoil in Iran, and has directed U.S. naval assets in the Persian Gulf to be, in layman’s terms, in “non-incident mode,” military officials told FOX News Monday.

Meanwhile, the former crown prince of Iran contended that members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard are showing “discontent” and some are “contemplating the contingency” of defying the regime in the wake of the Islamic Republic’s disputed presidential election.

U.S. military commanders are said to have been instructed to be alert to any possibility of a clash with Iranian naval assets, and to position themselves in such a way as to diminish the ability of Iran to stage an incident, however small, that could be used to rally the support of the Iranian people to the regime and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, whose backers are accused of voter fraud in the national election 10 days ago.

A Defense Department official told FOX News that U.S. Central Command has sent a message to all Navy service members in the Persian Gulf region that they are “expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and to avoid any unnecessary escalation or confrontation” with Iranian ships or other military assets.

“Given the heightened sensitivities in Tehran we don’t want to feed into what is already a very tense situation on their side,” the official said.

The ruling elite are oppressive to the extreme. There’s no democracy there. Corruption is rampant, power is ruled by decree, not by unanimous consensus. While carefully choosing his words on Iran’s protest movement against the Islamic regime, US president Barack Obama appears to be on course for a military showdown with North Korea, Iran and Syria’s nuclear collaborator. “This administration and our military,” he said, “is fully prepared for any contingencies.”

Military sources in Japan and South Korea report US satellites and the guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain are shadowing a North Korean vessel suspected of carrying weapons for Myanmar. Their target is currently 322 kilometers south of Shanghai. It is expected to make its way through the Strait of Malacca for possible refueling in Singapore.

Pyongyang has threatened a military response if its ships are intercepted and searched under the latest round of UN Security Council sanctions. Sunday, June 21, North Korea’s official Tongil Sinbo said of the South Korean president Lee Myung-bak’s talks last week with president Obama that “The US-touted provision of “extended deterrence, including a nuclear umbrella” [for South Korea] is nothing but a “nuclear war plan.”

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that no official in Washington, Seoul or Tokyo can say whether the US and North Korea are heading for a naval clash, a limited air engagement or possibly a small incident that could get out of hand and blow up into a major encounter.

While ruling out a nuclear conflict, none of the three parties involved can promise tactical ordinance such as artillery shells and mines will not be used at some point.

The UN Security Council resolution of Friday, June 12 mandated sanctions, approved at Washington’s behest, that authorize UN member nations’ naval vessels to stop and search North Korean ships suspected of carrying nuclear materials.

Pyongyang said this measure would be deemed an act of war on the Korean peninsula and draw a “thousand fold” military retaliation.

However, at stake for the United States is a far larger issue, DEBKA-Net-Weekly’s Washington sources report: It relates to America’s standing as the leading nuclear superpower and guardian of the global nuclear order. In this sense, the Korean crisis confronts Barack Obama with a supreme test as US president with major ramifications for the Iranian program.

This goes to the motivation behind Kim Jong-Il’s nuke-rattling, his decisions not only to unveil the appointment of his 26-year old son Kim Jong-Un as his successor, but most of all to take the lead in creating a bloc of nations willing to shake the United States on this pedestal.

Obama’s non-confrontational stance on the Iran crisis obliges him to apply muscle to the Security Council’s sanctions against Pyongyang - or lay himself open to criticism for being soft on both nuclear rogue states. This would disarm in advance any penalties the UN might impose on Iran for its nuclear violations.

I just wanted to say that there was real reason for the Iranian revolution. the Shah was something of a monster and people were tortured and they were profoundly shocked by the Western values that were being forced down their throats. This is not support of the current old men as a woman they terrify me-they could move to the Taliban side “without taking their lunch” as my mother would have said. I just know that many people posting here were very young when everything came down in Iran and I wanted to say that there was reason and there is reason that the US is hated in that part of the world.

Hi Charles, if Iran is what you had in mind when you quoted this, what if what is being protected is not the country, but the ruler’s hold on power? Multiple sources within and outside of Iran point in this direction.

But does China want to see us involved in one or two more wars to further weaken our power thereby allowing China’s further ascension? Or would that be too dangerous to the stability of the world economy, etc.? The U.S. is so intertwined with the world economy at this time that what affects us would also affect all others, isn’t that the case?

Perusing through some of the Iranian Twitter blog entries (as far as I can determine mostly originating out of the capitol city of Tehran), it immediately becomes apparent these are average people just like you and I who are helplessly caught up in a maelstrom of violence. They have no resources to turn to, and seem to be in continual fear for their lives. It appears normal life in Tehran has come to a virtual stand-still. I’m dumbfounded! Absolutely perplexed! Am I living on another planet from everyone else? How in the world did they just have a presidential news conference and neither Obama addressed nor any reporter asked a question related to North Korea? One reporter went so far as to waste their question on BO’s smoking habits.

Your 5:15 am post says it all. I believe Russia and China are pushing BO to the brink. I’m sure they think he is soft, and are trying to see how far they can push. I don’t think they want a World War III at this time. Korea can not be doing what it is doing without approval and maybe even strategized approval from China. It is my understanding, that BO may attempt to have Singaporian officials search the Korean ship when it enters port. But there is no confirmation that the ship will stop at Singapore, or that officials there will be willing to search the ship if it arrives. If neither happens, the UN resolution only allows for the US to asked if it can board the ship. The resolution does not give the US permission to board the ship if North Korean permission is denied. Obama would then be faced with the US boarding the ship under its own authority. He could justify boarding on the grounds that North Korea is an enemy combatant, since it recently rescinded the armistice truce that led to the cessation of conflict at the end of the Korean War. If nothing is found on the ship, we would have some egg on our face. Once again we would be accused of beating up on the little guy.

I think the repercussions may be greater, if we don’t. We will look very weak to the world, and embolden the Russians and Chinese for riskier action down the road, that could lead to WWIII. I just don’t see this Korean incident leading to any immediate war, Korean is not in a position to do anything directly by itself. I don’t see Russian and China forcing this issue into a war at this time. But like I said before, anything can happen.

It’s very interesting that the two powers Bush declared as part of the axis of evil are so involved into today’s crisis. By the way, BO has also cut funding for missile defense, and if accurate (and I know how people feel about John Bolton), but he did say yesterday that BO also moved 15 defensive missiles out of Alaska. What’s that about? Anyone know? Now, we are talking of having our missile defense in place in the Koreans launch a missile in the direction of Hawaii. Suddenly missile defense is important to this administration.

Speaking of the axis of evil. Majorie Orr commented that the Iranian government has placed Great Britain on its axis of evil list. Majorie commented that the British must be thrilled to still be considered of consequence on the world scene.

Pres O’s press conference this morning was a clear indication that the so-called “Honeymoon” is definitely over. A couple of reporters were aggressive to the point of being rude and condescending. I actually felt bad for Obama. The demands being made upon him to take a hard-line on Iran are, IMO, nothing more than far-right war-mongering Repugs baiting him with the threat of being a wimp or too dovey. Although for the most part, he handled himself with dignity and poise, it was one of the first times I detected a palpable level of righteous indignation and anger from the Pres. Good for him. I believe he is handling the Iranian issue with aplomb for the time being. It is Iran’s struggle for right now - we cannot have a revolution for them. But we can certainly be appalled by the treatment of innocent and even protesting civilians in a so-called democratic society. Change is on the horizon there, in its own time.

Regarding nothing being said or asked about NK - I say, “No news is good news.” Let that pan simmer on the back burner for a while. I don’t feel it is a real threat. It is almost ridiculous and childlike.

“But only I’m the president of the United States. And I’ve got responsibilities in making certain that we are continually advancing our national security interests and that we are not used as a tool to be exploited by other countries.”

He added: “I think that in the hothouse of Washington, there may be all kinds of stuff going back and forth in terms of Republican critics versus the administration. That’s not what is relevant to the Iranian people…. They’re trying to figure out how can they make sure justice is served in Iran.”

Judging from the news today the numbers of organized dissenters out in Tehran’s streets Tuesday has been severely curtailed compared to the previous week. The protestors ability to organize has been significantly weakened by the regime’s brutal display of force.

You see, I secretly passed on the Starlightnews info to him about an impending June 22 nuclear conflict with NK via his secretary, and the poor fellow took it seriously. Jupiter is in latter degrees of Aquarius, so that part of the analysis may no longer apply. However, I do think the Pluto transit opposite the Federal Reserve Sun is still very much an ongoing concern - very valid.

Sanford and I go way back, - from our pre-college days. I just didn’t think he would take the Starlightnews material that seriously. He should have spoken to me directly before leaving - I would have straightened him out on certain things (like leaving his family). Anyway, he’s back. Much to everyones relief.

Gov. Sanford worked on IMF–World Bank Reform in 2000, I did not read all of this–but, I would bet that his trip could very well have something to do with the IMF..In some cases parties are the same–Bill Clinton/Mark Sanford–working for the same goal–whatever that really is…?

Karim Sadjadpour was interviewed by Terry Gross on “Fresh Air” yesterday. Iran or Teheran (don’t recall which) is under martial law. One of the things he did was to flesh out the leading cast of characters. Rafsanjani and Khameini are two powerful families within the Islamic Republic of Iran. These two men have a long history. They go back 50 years when they were students of the revolution. They were once allies. Rafsanjani was once the powerful Prime Minister and close to the Ayatollah Khomeini, before Khameini became his successor. Sadjadpour described them as similar to the Corleones and Tataglia families from the Godfather, which says a lot. This corroborates a reading of Khameini’s Saturn, Mars, Pluto t-square in its less evolved manifestation. He is not above the fray as evident in his siding with Ahmadinejad and stealing the election. Khameini is extremely orthodox, whereas Rafsanjani is more secular.

Al Giordano reports that the protesters are adapting their tactics and are now targeting the oil ministry, commerce, and transportation. A general strike is planned for the next few days. I don’t know if people are still interested in this story…

About Sanford - We’re all playing out our drama. In reviewing the life of the just recently deceased celebrity/ tv host Ed McMahon on the entertainment tv channel, a very, funny scene is shown where Ed knocks on the door to a well to do home. A middle aged couple emerges. They are delighted to see him. He enthusiastically greets them and launches into this bright smiled request. He said ‘Remember that Sweepstakes cheque of a million dollars I gave you a while back? I would like to have it back’ It was a parody on the financial difficulties he was undergoing and the imminent forclosure of his Beverly Hills home. The couple responds with a frown, and an abrupt closing of the door. The scene repeats itself, with several more doors being shut on him. Now that’s self-effacing humour at its best. Very funny. You have to love the guy for it.

Does MSM know they are a dying form of media. The press conference yestersday was amusing in a pathetic way. They congratulated themselves for being snarky and Obama had a bored, mild contempt seeping through his words. From Maj Garrett- “finally you said something”, Chip Reid, timid and weak question, to Chuck Todd (who I used to like but now is so full of himself and thinks he is Tim Russett now) being spanked by the President to the reporter with braces trying to elevate her snoopiness regarding Obama’ smoking by trying to window dress it with the new tobacco legislation.

I felt like Obama was like Keneau Reeves in the last scene of the first Matrix movie. Where he is fighting and is so fast that he gets bored while fighting.

The dying gasps of the fourth estate and they don’t know it. But it will only get worse for Americans and will be a great time for crooked politicns. I love the information access of the internet and citizen journalism but that doesn’t replace a reporter on the beat covering say a state house, digging and digging for months on end. MSM gave up on beat reporters 10 years ago.

Even MSM swallowed the Sanford hiking story. Nobody took the time to even check the airlines until the cops reported his phone signal from Atlanta. TV reporting is just a voyeristic circus show- watching an accident on the side of the highway.

Now MSM is now trying to blame Obama for what wasn’t asked in the presser. Please, come on now. That is their job. Obama has made himself more available to the press in the first 6 months of his Presidency than Clinton and Bush combined. I think you wiould have to go back to Nixon or LBJ for the most press avails of a President.

And I’m glad that Obama said the Iranian situation is not about us and that the Iranian people don’t care what anyone in DC is saying.

All Right! I heard that 2 of the 10 Democratic Senators not for single-payer have switched because of all the phone calls and letters! [Cantwell from WA and the Arkansas Senator.] I did get to call all my congress people and leave my opinion. Jim McDermitt’s office person was the most cheerful and chatty. Cantwell’s sounded resentful and rushed. Patty Murray’s was nice and polite.

I don’t know if Bill Clinton has noticed, but I’m just starting to notice.

The men who worked so hard to bring him down for having sex with a woman other than his wife are being brought to the attention of the people they preached to, one at a time. The latest being the Governor of South Carolina.

LJ, I agree with Jerry. Some women, not all, are attracted by money and/or power and status. Wealth or status, for example, makes up for what a man lacks and some women are willing to put up with what’s missing in order to get that, security or the lifestyle.

Astrologically, just a few examples that come to mind. Women with Mars in Taurus, they tend to want a good provider. Venus/Saturn, other considerations besides love like ambition, profession, status, security, can factor into their choices for a partner. Women with Sun/Pluto in major aspect, Sun or Mars in Scorpio are examples of power being the magnet. Jerry, how does the lunar eclipse on Russia’s natal Neptune connote danger for Obama?

Given the transiting Jupiter in Obama’s first house and the opposition to natal Uranus, I think that gives him some protection, as does the natal 12th house Jupiter, even with transiting Mars being involved in the configuration. It could be that Mars will add an element of contentiousness or competition, but we know that’s likely anyway given the current dynamic between the U.S. and Russia. Transiting Sun will conjunct the US Sun a couple of days prior to the eclipse when the Mars transit is operative, and although transiting Sun will sextile Saturn, none of this to my mind points to something dire happening. In any event, we’ll soon see!

Well Sonya, according to Steven Colbert, an investigative reporter out in the field, who happened to conduct a four minute interview with the governor last year - upon asking him some rather pointed, personal questions, Colbert found Mark Sanford to be motivated not by politics, money or women but by sheer boredom. Sanford admits unabashedly on camera that he enjoys his solitude. Take a look at the video clip and you’ll get a better idea of what really makes this man tick……….

Well I read some of his emails to his beloved Maria (never going to do that again) and his own words today indicates more. Yes, he is bored. Bored with his perfect family and accomplished wife who was his campaigned manager and probably talked more about mundane things like Johnny needs braces and how the state congress is treating you.

Like I said, some men need women to magnify them, to stroke their egos. To tell them their the best even when they blow off their kids for Father’s Day.

Someone said a long time ago, that men fall in love because how a woman makes them feel (less bored) and woman fall in love because of the potential of their man.

Years together and most couples are dismayed.

I gather from your response you weren’t impressed by the video clip or perhaps you didn’t look at it. It’s self-explanatory. Colbert was poking fun at him. The comments and piercing questions directed at Sanford were outrageous and funny. The point being - we take ourselves a little too seriously at times. There’s a social metaphor behind that. Perhaps it’s not in your temperament to see it that way. But I think it’s marvelous to break through the taboos and look at things from a totally different angle. Being methodically predictable can sometimes be monotonous and boring. Anyway, I just thought it was verry funny and a fun thing to share.

Yes, Helen is a true reporter and her question was valid. Yet we live on earth and not in a righteous heavan. How many Iranian military (who are directly involved in the violence in Iran) will be targets of terrorists trying to avenge her death as opposed to how many US soliders and ordinary Americans (who had nothing to do with torture and prison abuse) will become targets of terrorist attacks if these pictures are release?

Was it moral to drop the bombs in Japan in WWII to end the war quickly or to continue the Pacific War were thousands of more Americans soliders would have died because the Japanese Empire would never surrender. Not everything is black and white.

And for the record, I did view the video. Colbert was funny put Sanford was a typical politician saying “you’ve got to be true to yourself and the voters”. He couldn’t be true to his own wife and kids.

And Sanford without prompting keeping repeating “he’s such a solitary man, who loves being on the farm with his wife and kids”. Just the average politicians and his hypocrisy, hiding behind his family values mantra.

No he isn’t a boring man, he likes to skip Father’s Day with his sons and do the tango under the sheets in Argentina with his mistress.

I never expect politicians to be clean as the driven snow but when they hide behind family values and chastised other politicians for their failures- I see no humor in that. I just see children wondering why they aren’t good enough for the Dad to spend one freakin day with them.

Yes. That is the problem in our communication. As you pointed out, very little listening going on.

What was lost in translation, was that what was shared in that video clip was journalistic humor, not intended for serious discussion. Since it wasn’t understood, I thought it would be helpful to clarify the content - no personal slant intended at all. Just suggesting that we may be looking at things differently and therefore misunderstanding each other. I think it might be better to let this go. The original intent and spirit of what was shared has been lost.

I posted those general aspects for the July lunar eclipse, the most obvious ones - on the spur of the moment without taking the time to go into a thorough analysis. Now that I have a little more time to collect my thoughts, what speaks to me in the chart is the over all environment that sets the tone for Obama’s visit.

First impression was the Capricorn lunar eclipse conjunct Russia’s Neptune in the fifth house - it’s within two minutes of arc. For a definition of a lunar eclipse, I found the following explanation from Artcharts: “Eclipses have long been reputed to be evil omens; they get their rep because they are augurs of change. During a Lunar Eclipse the light of the Full Moon is temporarily hidden to our view, blocking our self-awareness, crashing our emotional-defense systems, and oversensitizing our emotional reactions. Faced with a sea of exposed irrationality, bouts of emotional insecurity are possible, especially in regards to where the Eclipse occurs in your natal chart. The Solar Eclipse location points to what you’re aware of, the Lunar Eclipse location shows where there will be the most obvious changes in the daily routine”- End of Quote - Capricorn, the domain of structured government with Neptune (15 Capr.) in the fifth house in close conjunction to natal Uranus (13 Capr.) may indicate the blurring of emotions and of rationality - great uncertainty. In a word, the ordinary protective security measures surrounding the President may be vulnerable to sudden, unexpected intrusions. Potential malcontents that can inflict harm.

The waxing lunar eclipse on the afternoon of the 6th conjoins Obama’s natal Venus in opposition to tr.Pluto. I see this particular aspect as life threatening. Pluto can be radical. The Pluto opposition to natal Venus is nearly exact. The powerful June 22 New Moon - Pluto opposition is also being activated at this time adding to the dynamic forces that could potentially bring about a radical change in circumstances . That sets the tone. The harsh angles of tr. Mars conj natal Vesta square to natal Uranus, natal South Node and square to the tr. Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron conj. suggests to me in material terms; sudden violence, anger, confusion and transition (Jupiter). The tr. Mars trine natal Saturn is another element that could indicate ease of entrance and intention for harm. Of course this is all open to interpretation. I could be misreading the nuances and subtleties.

Anyway, if you are seeing other influences that you would like to add or bring to my attention, feel free to bring it up in discussion.

Jerry, thanks for your comments. I did mention some other influences in my last post. Eclipses I don’t know anything about, but a couple of things I’ll mention: the transit of Uranus to the US natal Uranus in hard aspect and conjunction have coincided with the assassinations of three U.S. presidents: McKinley, Garfield, and Kennedy. Also the Civil War, and Hurricane Katrina. The Saturn Pluto opposition in 2001 was close to the US natal Uranus as well. So major events in the history of the republic involve transits to the U.S. natal Uranus. We don’t have that here. There’s also the US Sun which signifies the ruler or president, as you know, which I’ve already mentioned earlier: tr Sun conjunction, Saturn sextile. But, you may be right. We’ll soon see.

p.s. Today we had a transiting Sun Pluto opposition and transiting Moon square Iran’s Pluto . If I understand you correctly, we’re also contending with the new Moon Pluto opposition. The events in Iran today were particularly brutal. Police were savagely beating people and attacking them with axes. Unbelievable!

I understood the humor in the Colbert video. Colbert was very funny and Sanford played along until the Confederate flag bit came up. He looked confused and played along with the barbacue sauce thing but reverted back to the solitary family man thing that most politicans do when they get a little touchy. And Colbert calling him boring- touched a nerve alittle. It crossed my mind, if his apperance on the show happened a year ago. Maybe he was indeed having a mid life crisis and was touchy about being called boring. I don’t think Sanford views himself as boring , he probably thinks he is a thinking man’s farmer.

No your are incorrect. I’m amazed by Nancy. She was very accurate during the campaign and I became hooked. And for me Jerry is a tad bit doom and gloom and I value accuracy over style. Plus a majority of the posts have more to do with politics than astrology.

I’ve always marched to my own drum. And I’m glad you and many others value Jerry’s insight. He is just not my cup of tea. But I do skim his posts, hoping for some interesting insights. Hope springs eternal but there are other fascinating people like LJ, RC and Helena to name a few.

I believe the Sanford interview took place in March of 2008. According to the governor’s own admission, the affair has been going on for several years.

I had an opportunity to observe Sanford at relatively close range for several hours when he attended a conference of ours at the hotel I work in (Myrtle Beach, SC). Although there was no personal interaction, my impression of him was that he seemed warm, engaging and dare I say ‘charismatic’. Leaving aside the moral issue, probably he’s just a little confused over his personal affairs, allowing it to spill over and interfere with his professional life.

Putting it in perspective, this may be a simple human interest story, a politician’s indiscretion gone array - the real news as we speak is the re-igniting of horrible violence and over-bearing brutality in Tehran, which seems to have escalated to a new level. My heart goes out to the Iranian people.

Actually, the 15 ‘24 Capr. July 7 lunar eclipse forms a t square to the US Sun (13 ‘19 Cancer) US Saturn square (14 ‘ 48 Libra). This is not a harmonious aspect by any means. There could be some unsettling events affecting the over-all mood of the country. If you recall, former Pres Ron Reagan’s death in June of 2004 coincided just as Saturn was making its approach, within a half degree of the US Sun. A period of national mourning over a period of six days came to culmination with a state funeral in Washington DC on June 11, the day of the exact Saturn conjunction to the US Sun. These degrees are sensitive to major transits.

Going back through the transcrcript just now, I see it was related to his informing his wife of the relationship. He told his wife about the affair five months ago.

Referring to your comment just now about my being in attack mode - unfortunately you had misinterptreted what was being said. What is strange to me is that you were trying to personalise our conversations. In an effort to bolster your point of view you duplicated my sentences in a disjointed fashion, making it appear other than what was written. My remarks were taken completely out of context. The remarks should read in one continuous flow. Instead of two sentences combine the two into one……

Yes, let’s agree to disagree (hands clapping)! The only real problem I have in your posts are the comments about knowing me- like phrases, “I know you mean well”- how do you know that? Can you see my face typing? Or “you misunderstood”. You really don’t know my comprehension level or lack there of; and it is wrong for you to assume or presume too much.

As for taking your posts out of context, I just copy and paste. I took the first two sentence that dealt with me specifically and you took the last offending sentence and the following one. But you used that sentence to transit from talking about me specifically to the more general statement. You have this tiring problem of making your statement and upon my response attacking it.

And depending on which way the wind is blowing (what other posters are saying about the exchange). You either egg it on or try to turn around and act innocent and above it all.

Hi,
What amazed me most about Sanford yesterday was how bad and how old he looks. The guy’s only 49! Someone said yesterday, he looked 60, and I think he did.
He’s aged so much just in the past year or so, gotten those huge bags under his eyes. And seemed like a man who could have a mental breakdown at any moment yesterday.
Seems like he was begging to get caught, given his behavior of the past week.
He did have a nasty fight with the Republican-controlled legislature this past year over Sanford refusing to take the federal stimulus money. Legislature sued to force him to take the money for the state, and the SC Supreme Ct ruled just last week that he had to take the money.
Right around the same time, his wife kicked him out, needing some time to try to come to terms with what he’d done and told him not to contact her during that time, she said in a statement yesterday.
I could feel sorry for him, if he hadn’t fought to cut health care for poor children, cut mental health services for the poor and fought against extending unemployment benefits right now when we have an unemployment rate of 11 percent, I believe.
The really sad part for SC is that the Lt. Gov. is a complete worm of a little man, not nearly as smart as Sanford, IMHO, and really just in love with himself and his own importance.
Bauer, the Lt. Gov., is the one who really got the whole scandal going by learning the governor was away for a few days and hadn’t put Bauer in charge during that period. He’s the kind of guy who’d salivate over the chance to be acting Gov. even for a few days.
I think Sanford is done as governor. He has no friends among the Republican power base here, and his term ends in 2010.
If the Republicans can force him out, Bauer gets to be Gov. and run as an incumbent in 2010. So it’s all win-win for the Republicans here.
(In case anyone doesn’t know, Sanford is a Republican, just not liked by his own in SC.)

If this report is an accurate depiction of the regime’s intention and goal, then The Lord of the Rings trilogy was the wrong choice and the regime has unwittingly chosen a film that will inspire and motivate the resistance, rather than lull and distract. Iran is the land of Hafiz and Rumi, and lovers of poetry. I suspect that the symbolism within the LRT, particularly its central theme, will not be lost on Iranians, assuming people are even watching state tv in Iran.

LRT was released during the Saturn Pluto opposition between 2001-2003. Archetypally, one of the characteristics of this combination has to do with the wise use of power, its temptations and tests (personified by Aragorn). During Saturn Pluto transits, the duality of light and dark become extreme or polarized and that dichotomy pervades the film. The central theme or plot of the trilogy unsurprisingly reflects the nature of these archetypal forces.

The Ayatollah Khameini is under hard Saturn transits to his Pluto. His hold on power in Iran - symbolized by the ring - is being severely tested by a resistence movement from below and above within the clerical and political establishment. It remains to be seen as events unfold if the ring will be returned to Mordor and destroyed or if Sauron will prevail.

As I was driving down the mountain today NPR was doing a report on the Smithsonian study of Bee’s that is now ongoing. The Bee’s at the White House garden are a strain that is resistant to CCD, and they are being studied as well. They also spoke of how important it is to grow heirloom varieties of wildflowers, as the good bee stuff has not been hybridized out of the blooms, sweet smelling nectar and all. Funny how they are making sure we are thinking about them.

I have come to think that Sonya is working to disrupt us here-we do a lot of teaching and guiding each other we basically like each other and live with a code of kindness and civility. Jerry W speaks frequently of getting outside of one’s ego, and the need to overcome the fragmentation of the illusion of ego from the universal whole. This teaching is of course very Hindu, Buddhist, Taoist, and in some respects Christian.

Considering that many may go through thousands of years of samsara, to use a Hindu term, in order to achieve Moksha or Enlightenment; I don’t know if anyone has ever attained such a state. I have meditated over many decades, but never for longer than an hour at a time. I know what it is to at times be outside the confines of ego, to be an observer with circumstances without being caught up in them. The meditation especially works best when I don’t have large amounts of pressure and time constraints on me, and when I am not running days of tiredness.

Possibly that is why so many serious meditators down through history were hermits, or joined monasteries of like-minded people who often lived a way of life freed from the power, wealth, and passions of the world. Even here Buddhist and Christian monasteries and Hindu ashrams went through their periods of accumulated wealth, and the decadence and debauchery that often accompanied it.

I don’t know if a state of human enlightenment in the Buddhist sense can be achieved collectively, when it appears very few if any humans who have lived their life paths have accomplished such a thing. My goodness, even on this blog where we come closest to having a group of like-minded people who share pretty much the same values and political perspective; we have miscommunication, hurt egos, and others falling all over themselves apologizing for perceived slights. Certainly, Eric Holder is correct. We are unable to talk frankly and honestly about race in this country, which I think is sad but the reality of the situation. If we who share much in common cannot communicate effectively, honestly, and frankly without taking comments personally and without getting defensive, or claiming sensitivity; then how on earth can anyone think we Americans with our world and cultural view will be able to communicate with the communists world view or the Islamic world view where so much power, wealth, and conflicting values are at stake on the world stage?

Go back to the first two paragraphs of Starlight’s post for June 19th–the kingdom of God/utopia. We all have some ideal within our souls. Unfortunately, the kingdom of God or the secular utopias all become dangerous ideals when institutionalized religion or secular institutions and ideals become beliefs that must be crammed down the throat of others by the “true believers”. That is why I find partisanship a testimony to how little we have gotten outside the ego and how much we have the need to have our beliefs reinforced, and our values approved. How else can it be? Someone’s values are going to dominate a society or a shrinking global society. When I read bloggers for example who will tell Jerry W how they agree with what he says, and then in the next post revert back to “I hate this political figure”, ‘this political figure is the prince of darkness”, repugs, etc; I know how fragmented we are, and such partisanship only guarantees that such people if they had the power would definitely impose their values upon society. But of course, politics can not lead to redemption. It can not improve the world, it only changes it and often damages it.

Certain Christian groups look to the Second Coming of Christ to bring about the fulfillment of the Kingdom of God. Various New Age groups look to aliens who have been overseeing us for centuries to suddenly appear and usher in a new age for humanity. Others look for pole shifts to change humanity’s psychology and possibly the very nature of humanity itself. I do not pretend to know which of these if any will prove to be true. Maybe humankind will just continue to dredge on in the future much as it has in the past. Possibly what seems more viable to me is an Age of Aquarius ushered in by genetic engineering that will change homo-sapiens to homo-evolutians. Meditation and the seeking of enlightenment or the kingdom of God, etc may contribute to each of us living a more conscious and compassionate life, but in itself I doubt meditation or a few isolated beings accomplishing nirvana can bring about the kingdom of God on this earth.

Before you can have an accurate astrological profile, you must have an accurate date of birth. In a mundane chart of a nation this gets a little tricky. What is the moment of birth? Is it the moment that the nation is announced? Is it when the constitution is signed? Ratified? New leaders elected?

In my online research today I found several different dates used by astrologers for North Korea. There is a chart for August 10, 1945, the date that the US War Department decided to partition the country at the 38th parallel. There is a chart for September 10, 1948 which appears to have come originally from Nick Campion’s Book of World Horoscopes and is incorrect.

In my view, using the August 1945 date for North Korea is a bit like using the time of conception for a birthchart. Information from the US State Department and several Korean websites confirm that the actual birthing of the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea (DPRK) was proclaimed by Kim Il Sung on September 9, 1948, and this is the day that is celebrated by the North Korean people as the founding anniversary.

Yes, I went on a long diatribe about you. And I admitted that in the diatribe post and I’m admitting it again. And no, I wasn’t incensed about your “insights” into me. I found them strangely amusing and cluelessly offending. No one knows anyone really and especially on the internet. So it amuses and offends when some one who claims such powerful insights is totally clueless. And it amuses more as the go on making comments but not connecting the dots on how absurd their comments are and what they profess to be.

As for Marylyn’s huh. To my eyes the word huh doesn’t denote shock but confusion. And generally when someone says the word huh- they are seeking clarification. And as, I said, I believe the running posts between both of us was clear and I believe my posts were very direct.

It’s interesting that in my life people would fairly describe me as passionate and bossy. Since I write for a living, I’ve very aware that I can be too blunt and how language can be use to bring people together or use deceptively to put down others.

I find it so funny that the very people on this board who describe me a being passive/aggressive, misunderstood, lacking confidence are the very ones who are opaque. And it doesn’t even dawn on them that the connection of their passion for astrology which is opaqueness at the highest level and how they write (usually in vague generalities with veiled put downs).

I respect people more who will call a spade a spade instead of hiding behind words. Instead of saying my intentions was to clear the air. Why don’t you just say, Let me be clear instead of all this wishy washy stuff. I don’t know your motivations or character nor do you know mine. And at least I don’t repeatedly act like I do as you do. You have your impressions of me and I have my impressions of you. We can be both correct or we can be totally wrong. And in the big scheme of things, who cares.

As for the cymelia, she made a racist comment (young boys on city corners usually have a learning disability) and she veered way off track with her comments about Obama’s whiteness. Now my mother was 2/3rd white and looked like Irish women with red hair and freckles. Half of her brothers and sisters left to live as whites and never were heard from again. In coming from a parent with a mix heritage and watching the impact heritage had on my mother. The topic is so confounding; I don’t even think I am qualified to make a breezy and harsh comment on how someone else handles their bi-racialness. But a racist comment doesn’t necessarily mean you are a racist. In Obama’ race speech, he stated that his grandmother used racial epithets but loved him more than life it self.

But people on this board went over board in their defense of cymelia to denounce me and my posts and went a bridge too far to even proclaim that cymelia wasn’t even saying that the young men she describe were black even though in a later post cymelia herself stated that she was indeed talking about young black men. So that indicated to me that Jerry’s pronouncement that we are beyond race since Obama was elected President was laughable at best. Especially in light of the fact that these very enlighten board could not even handle having an intelligent discussion of race. And if this group couldn’t have an enlighten conversation- how does that portend for the rest of America. Race clearly does matter, it is our original sin and until we can have a honest discussion without whites feeling threaten that people might think they are racists, we will never move beyond it.

Do I think cymelia is a racist? NO. Did cymelia make a racist comment? Yes.

Hey rc, In truth I have no psychic connection to the philanderer Gov…..It is just so common these days…I doubted he was hiking the trail when I heard the report on NPR, it does not take much to figure out repub behavior.

My green dream is that when we learn the true art of instant manifestation, and when we can truly co create with nature intelligence, there will be little human labor needed.

Stifled for the moment, which like Tiananmen Square under the Saturn Uranus opposition is not unexpected. As has been reported by multiple sources, Rafsanjani is working behind the scenes for the removal of Khameini and we don’t know the results of that yet or what is taking place behind closed doors. The trajectory this uprising is on is towards significant changes. As I’ve said before, the 1979 revolution took a year and this will take time. Uranus is inextricably bound - now there’s a Saturn word - with Saturn. Just as we think Saturn has triumphed, Uranus rises again!

As for the fate of the protesters…must pray for them.

When it came to Obama’s allotted time to speak, he shared his glowing admiration for the Chancellor and admitted there were some rather trying personal moments his sister had while in Germany that he wouldn’t go into, but agreed it was a very valuable learning experience for her. I would be more sanguine about the lunar transits except for the precarious position Mousavi is in as a leader of the opposition and the brutality of the crackdown in recent days. So that, and transiting Mars @ 28 Taurus conjunct his Saturn Uranus, it looks like that week for several days leading up to the exact conjunction will be critical and he will be under enormous pressures, if not danger. Perhaps, the lunar transits mean an influx of energies from the inner planes that will buoy the protesters.

In response to your post from last week. Yes, I am familiar with Raymond Merriman. In fact, as you can see, checking his Saturday post is always the first thing I do when I arise from my slumber each Saturday morning. I also subscribe to Merriman’s Annual Forecast book, which I would encourage everyone to do. He usually begins to take pre-orders in July, and delivery for the next year begin about December 15th.

This sounds ominous for the economy, (Is this earthquake tsunami meant to be taken literally, which will lead to economic repercussions, or is he speaking metaphorically about the upcoming economic meltdown?) As we know the federal reserve is also in for some major overall. It sounds like late July is the beginning of the end to the illusion of economic “green shoots”, and beginnning of the major overall of the Federal Reserve and its independence and lack of transparency. I still would like to see it annihilated, but Starlight had posted earlier that whatever the changes it probably would not go that far. An economic Tsunami may change that.

So many astrologers are predicting major conflicts in July that will make June look tame in comparison. The departure of Jupiter/Neptune from each other will also bring about what has passed as a season of “feelings of love”, and be replaced with shrill rhetoric that will begin to reach a season of cacophony:

It is classical Jupiter-Neptune: “big fog,” wondering when the landscape will become clear. Talk about “climate control.” Two more weeks, as the second passage will be completed on July 10. The big question is what the social, financial, and political landscape will really look like after that fog lifts. The realization is sinking in that this is not the same world we once knew, for better or worse. We are already realizing that the “green shoots” of economic recovery don’t seem to be continuing. Short-Term Geocosmics

There are going to be at least two high profile funerals. And with Uranus changing directions in Pisces also on July 1, there may be another sudden shock to the world during this period. Uranus rules high winds, tornadoes, and earthquakes. But taken within the context of Jupiter and Neptune, the symbolism is more like a tsunami. It may be way off from land as it starts. People may not be aware of the power that is about to be unleashed. But by the time it ends (say the second half of the month, or even second half of this year), the force of a tidal wave may be too great to ignore. For now, we can only observe the decisions being made and hope that they are well-thought out and wise.

The headlines of Friday’s Wall Street Journal blared out: “Bernanke Blasted in House: Political Heat Mounts on Fed as Grilling over B of A Shows Ire at Its Interventions.” On Thursday, FED Chairman Ben Bernanke was interrogated intensely by Congressmen who were highly critical of his role in the handling the of financial crisis last September and the subsequent reshaping of the banking system, which attempts to grant the Federal Reserve (and Bernanke) more powers. This development is not a surprise to readers of this column or those familiar with the Forecast 2008 and 2009 books, or even the recent webcast given on May 2 about this very issue. Pluto is crossing the Federal Reserve Board’s Sun now—at 1 degree of Capricorn, and opposite its own natal Pluto at 0 degrees of Cancer. This past week’s New Moon at 1 Cancer touched off this configuration. Venus in the USA chart rules its currency and net worth.

FED Chairman Ben Bernanke was born December 13, 1953, Augusta, GA, time unknown. As stated in the Forecast 2008 (written November 2007, one year before the crisis began)—and repeated in the 2009—book, “In 2008-2009, the Saturn-Uranus opposition will make a Grand Square to Mr. Bernanke’s natal Sun-Jupiter opposition (possibly involving his natal Moon too). In any event, such a planetary configuration implies a period in his life where everything may seem to come apart. With Uranus, things do not go as planned. With Jupiter too, things can spin wildly out of control…. With Uranus and Saturn T-squaring it, his status suddenly comes under questioning. This can become a very troubling time, leading to impulsive decisions and actions that end up affecting his position…. Whatever the case, it seems that the Federal Reserve Board, and in fact the entire banking system of the United States (and possibly the world) are in store for a crisis in late 2008 through early 2011.” The Saturn-Uranus opposition forming a grand square to Bernanke’s own Sun-Jupiter opposition (21 degrees of mutable signs) is probably peaking within a few months in September 2009.

Will Bernanke and FED survive this? No one knows for sure, but the planetary configurations strongly suggest a major shake-up in the powers of the FED. We already know that one side wants to expand his powers and that of the FED, whereas another side want to kill the FED altogether. The USA has been through this once before, in 1834, when President Andrew Jackson abolished the nation’s central bank. It happened at a time when the Federal Government finally attained a budget surplus for the first time in the country’s history. Saturn was in opposition to Pluto at the time, a point in the cycle that tends to coincide with peaks in economic activity from whence things then fall apart. Within eight years, as Saturn formed its waning square to Pluto, the USA was mired in its worst Depression ever up until that point. From the surplus of 1834, it proceeded to acquire its highest debt ever by 1842, to the point that it could not pay its treasury bond obligations (yes, the USA defaulted at the time).

So here is the similarity this time. As Saturn made its last opposition to Pluto in 2001, the USA government also had a budget surplus for the first time in many years. But now, as we enter the waning square in 2009-2010 eight years later, we have our worst deficit in history (again). Back in 1834, at the height of prosperity, the central bank of the USA was abolished. Now we are in the midst of a financial crisis, and once again the existence of the central bank is being called into question (House Resolution 1207, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, sponsored by Congressman Ron Paul). It is like the economic circumstances are reversed this time as the central bank’s survival is being debated. For investors, the only thing that seems certain is this: if the uncertainty of the existence of the central bank (FED) grows, it will probably lead to a sharp sell off in equity markets around the world, and probably the U.S. dollar as well.

We watch as history is being made, as the chairman of the Federal Reserve is being accused of a cover up and abuse of power, two powerful themes associated with the transit of Pluto over the FED’s natal Sun, opposite its natal Pluto. We watch as the FED tries to explain what it did and why it did it, and where trillions of dollars have disappeared. Merriman’s analysis confirms everything that I’ve been feeling. The June 22 New Moon has activated a cauldron of dormant energy and I suspect it come to crescendo with the July 7 lunar eclipse. And strange as it may seem, I have reason to believe that we will arrive at some form of spectacular and profound resolution to all this on the 10th with that multi-faceted Mo/Ne/Ju/Ch conjunction. As promised, here are some thoughts I put together, elaborating on what Merriman had written……

First, a little background may be helpful.

My return from India this past January has been a very different experience in many respects from previous years. It hasn’t followed the normal cyclical pattern. The business slump has hit especially hard here, a tourist industry normally thriving this time of year. People are definitely spending less - and as a consequence, my usual annual tryst overseas that begins in the summer has been temporarily put on hold. I’ve had to reflect on a number of occasions whether this was to be squarely blamed on my not being industrious enough or perhaps my timing was off. Though it does seem to be part of a larger phenomenon - a collective experience - a sign of the economic times.

Anyway, after deliberating on this for many an anxious hour, over a period of months, I’ve begun to sense that some unseen hand is purposely putting me in a holding pattern. It feels as though the restraints are there to allow maximum leisure time, for purposes of going further ‘within’. It’s also an indication that all is not what it seems. Outward events may appear calm at the moment, but as Ray Merriman bluntly reminds us, though the rumblings of an economic tsunami may be hidden from the naked eye, it’s just underneath the surface ready to pounce on us at a moments notice when we are least aware.

To many Baba lovers around the world, the date of July 10th is especially significant. It is the day Meher Baba began observing silence. The year was 1925 (Baba is recognized by many as the Avatar, the God Man of this age). He maintained that silence throughout the years, until his passing in January of ‘69 (using the medium of an alphabet board and his own unique brand of hand gestures to communicate). Every year, for purposes of his ‘universal work’, he would often request his lovers to maintain silence on that day; on July 10th. Not always mind you. It depended on the requirements, the inexplicable nature of what he termed his ‘internal working’. He often said of his self imposed silence - that when he broke it, it would bring about radical changes in the world. The breaking of his silence and the spiritual transformation of human consciousness he said, were contingent on humanities desperate need for help; as he said it would occur at a time of great world conflict.

Hence, the signifcance of July 10th. It is possible this could prove to be a crucial, pivotal date. The spiritual connection to that date, as well as the astrological aspects appear to be converging (Neptune/Jupiter denoting a heightened spiritual awareness). The Moon/Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron conjunction of July 10th may hold a well-spring of transformative spiritual energy that conceivable could change everything in the twinking of an eye. That is a substantial and thought provoking post.

First, I agree with Merriman that the “green shoots” that some think is happening is wishful thinking.

What we know is that the administration’s actions to regulate the banking industry has been timid and has not taken on the significant structural problems in the economy, i.e., credit default swaps, which Warren Buffet called “weapons of mass destruction.” They have not broken up the banks which are “too big to fail” thereby leaving the U.S. taxpayers vulnerable to future and massive transfers of wealth to the banksters. Thomas Jefferson is looking amazingly prescient when he says: “I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.”

Merriman:

“It seems that the Federal Reserve Board, and in fact the entire banking system of the United States (and possibly the world) are in store for a crisis in late 2008 through early 2011.”

These dates coincide with the duration of the Saturn Pluto square and the t-square with Uranus, last seen twice in the 20th century: 1964-1967, and during the Great Depression of the 1930s, and the French Revolution of the 1790s. I apologize for repeating myself on this point. So, we’re looking at historically periods of great upheaval and turmoil. I believe the Jupiter Neptune transits cannot be read apart from these massive transits that are upon us for the next several years that provide a larger context.

Starlight has written about the Pluto transit to the US Venus which indicates that the U.S. dollar is under threat. Russia, China, and other countries are working to move away from the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency.

The Wall Street crowd and their allies on CNBC, remind me of Little Red Riding Hood looking at the wolf concealed within grandmother’s clothing. They want to see their benign and familiar grandmother (Jupiter Neptune), but what they are in fact being confronted with is the wolf (Saturn Pluto).

As for the “earthquake tsunami,” what we’ve seen during the Saturn Uranus opposition is a number of bridge collapses, airline accidents, and accidents due to aging and deteriorating infrastructure. This is the combination that coincides with the collapse of structures, which has been playing out as noted above, as well as in our institutions, political, economic, and cultural/social. The issue of gay marriage and the recent set back with the Prop 8 ballot measure in CA is a good example of the latter.

Ben Bernanke iirc, also has Mars in major aspect to Neptune and Uranus. Mars Neptune in hard aspect can manifest as leading a double life. It can show a capacity for intrigue and deception. Bernanke during this economic crisis has been involved in off the books transactions, i.e., Maiden Lane, all without any accountability or transparency. He’s a gambler and a risk taker and prefers to operate independently according to his will. (Mars/Uranus, Sun/Jupiter)

The transits to the Fed’s Pluto Sun, shows that there is a power struggle going on. The legislation in the House has strong bipartisan support. In fact, it’s one issue where conservatives and liberals are joined. I don’t know if Bernanke will survive as Fed Chairman. Merriman is right that there is a major shake up going on, but if Larry Summers takes his place, that’s not any improvement.

Last thought, if the administration and his economic team change course and follow what the planets indicate, which are radical structural changes in the U.S. economy, we will still experience a period of turbulence, but the recession will be shorter and the recovery sooner. Saturn Pluto in its best expression clears away what has outlived its usefulness and fosters the establishment of strong and lasting structures.

First, you don’t mention a TOB for Ahmadinejad, but then later you indicate his 26 Leo Moon. Are you using a random 12:00 noon birth time?

I want to back up a little to the June 12 election because I think it’s relevant. On that day, transiting Saturn opposed Ahmadinejad’s Mars, and transiting Uranus opposed and still does his Jupiter, which supports the contention that he lost the elections and accounts for the sudden turn of events against him and the regime (Uranus/Jupiter). As you’ve pointed out, Saturn will conjoin natal Jupiter in September which tends to put the brakes on his expansion and success, and/or reinforce his conservative beliefs. From there, Saturn moves to conjoin his Venus, indicating a continuing decrease in his popularity, and possibly financial ramifications. That is also indicated by the Pluto transit to his Saturn influencing financial matters and self worth. Although the Jupiter Neptune transit will retrograde and trine his Mercury for the next few months, these other transits suggest to me that he is not as confident and self-assured as he appears about his position or status. He believes what he wants (needs?) to believe. I think he is misreading events and the significance of the resistance and the Jupiter/Neptune trine to his Mercury is aiding him in that respect.

There is still an operative Uranus opposition Jupiter so his prospects may change suddenly and dramatically, particularly when combined with Saturn clamping down in Jupiter.

I won’t comment on transits to his Moon since I don’t have a time of birth.

Although that previous post of mine may have unintentionally strayed a little too far into personal detail and tangential information (now that I’ve had a second look at it), nevertheless, I still think the July 7 - 10 aspects may be an important factor to consider esp. if you’re looking for clues in Ahmadinejad’s chart to see which direction the country may be heading. The July 7 lunar eclipse resonates powerfully with his chart.

In examining Ahmadinejad’s chart, here are some quick notes….

the 15 ‘24 Capricorn lunar eclipse conjoins natal Juno at 16 ‘04 Capr. (Juno is often associated with acts of terrorism), in semi-square to natal Saturn (1 ‘51 Sagittarius) and nodes (29 ‘14 Scorpio/Taurus) in sesqui-square to natal Pluto (0 ‘09 Virgo) and sextile natal Mars (15 ‘13 Pisces). Tr. Uranus still in its near stationary position conjunct natal Mars and sextile the Capr. lunar eclipse/natal Juno degrees. Because of the eclipses harsh angle to natal Pluto, natal Saturn and Nodes and its sextile position to natal Mars and tr. Uranus, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of his removal at this juncture, or barring that, perhaps some dramatic development that would undermine his position.

Report: Hospitalized Iranians Seized

(CNN) — Iranians wounded during protests are being seized at hospitals by members of an Islamic militia, an Amnesty International official told CNN.

“The Basijis are waiting for them,” said Banafsheh Akhlaghi, western regional director of the human rights group, referring to the government’s paramilitary arm that has cracked down on protesters during the violent aftermath of the June 12 presidential election.

Amnesty International has collected accounts from people who have left Iran and expatriates with relatives there who say the Basij has prohibited medical professionals from getting identification information from wounded demonstrators who check in, Akhlaghi said on Saturday. They are also not allowed to ask how the injuries happened, and relatives are hard pressed to find the wounded.

Once the patients are treated, the militia removes them from the hospital to an undisclosed location, she said.

As mentioned earlier, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamanei has an intense natal Pluto-Mars-Saturn t square (0 Leo/ 1 Aquarius/0 Taurus) with transiting S. Node conunct his n. Pluto. The July 7th Moon-Pluto conjunction at 1 Capr. would be activating these degrees by quincunx and trine. There could be a major shift around this time.

My apologies if someone already mentioned this - it sure looks like the full moon prenumbral eclipse on July 7 will pack a wallop (the first of two eclipses that month), which, along with Pluto, will be stirring up Capricornian issues (and Cancer too). Cancer/Cap issues are the theme in July.

The United States has been alerted to seek new cyber defense systems to fight massive Internet invasions like the one Iran mounted to suppress its protest movement

Millions of sympathizers around the world looked forward to seeing Iran’s protest movement using the Internet for the first online coup in history. Instead, the Iranian Islamic regime turned the tables: Its Internet police, arguably the largest in the world, pushed “control,” “halt,” “delete” and “send” buttons to activate a deadly weapon for suppressing the movement, as soon as it took to the streets to protest the June 12 election which was believed to have given Mahmoud Ahmadinejad a false victory.

By Sunday, June 28, when the Guardian Council was to hand down its final verdict on their complaints, the street rallies had petered out.

Rather than responding to the technical side of your comments regarding the lunar eclipse at this time, I think there is a need to provide a clarification regarding the Jupiter Neptune transits.

What may be a source of confusion and what appears as contradictions between our perspectives is that we’re talking about the planets from different levels. Ray Merriman and I to a large extent have been talking about the less evolved manifestations of Jupiter Neptune. You have been tuning into its higher manifestations. I’m sure many on this site are aware of this, but it bears repeating that human beings are at different levels in our evolution of consciousness. The response to any given transit is determined by the “equipment” we have. The more spiritually evolved will respond to the higher dimensions of Jupiter Neptune. While I’ll put it this way, younger souls will respond to the “maya” or illusion generating dimension of these planets. We are in agreement as to the spiritual dimension. The other thing I want to mention is that it seems to me the energies which will be “channeled” around July 10 won’t be seen all at once but will take time to work through in this dimension in the months ahead.
