Although foreboding, I appreciate the heads-up on the inclement astro-weather. I am particularly interested in your inclusion of the Antares activation. I do not know a great deal about the fixed stars and would personally very much enjoy learning more about them from you.

OK, I guess. I’ve been in a shitstorm for a while, and Pluto square my Sun (and conjunct my North Node) is nowhere near as bad as Pluto conjunct my IC and square my Ascendant.

In my opinion the movement of Pluto into Capricorn portends the collapse of worldwide structures (something like Will’s hemorrhoids but on a larger scale). Possibly governments and certainly the financial system will have to be restructured. This will not be easy and may bring about another dark age. Don’t laugh, we will all feel like Will. (Apologies to Will)

I should mention that in the Spring Equinox chart for London, Uranus is conjunct the Ascendant, though not as exact an aspect as in the Washington, DC, SpEq chart. In the London chart, the Ascendant is 18Pisces38, Uranus is at 19Pisces16. The current station has Uranus at 18Pisces44, about to move direct. Thus, much of the tension and upset of the past month has been strongly felt in LBritain as well. Interestingly, Gordon Brown has Uranus on his North Node, so he has been creative and effective in dealing with things. Notice that the Mumbai terrorists were looking for Americans and British.

Nancy, I’ve read your posts long enough to know you are not an alarmist. However, I am definitely feeling alarmed. Good to be forwarned.

An American friend of mine just arrived safely into Mumbai airport late last night and despite heavy security had managed to make the six hour journey without mishap (the retreat is located about 150 miles inland). Some concerned friends from Bombay who were speaking to relatives by cell phone this morning noted that although there is tension in and around the city (it is currently under high alert), there doesn’t seem to be undue panic. ‘Bombayite’ city dwellers are known for being a highly resilient group.

I understand the Mumbai domestic and international airports are presently under temporary lock-down. Nothing can get in or out until the situation returns back to normal.

About the President Elect……

Happily it seems, the general, prevailing feeling running through main-stream America is that Obama is the right man for the job. He’s eloquent, young, energetic and above all, he extends across cultural, racial lines - a true representation and unifier of the various classes of American society. Most of all, he is a welcomed, refreshing relief; a radical departure from those 8 awful years of the Bushies that many would unequivocally characterize as a despotic regime.

With that being said, and I don’t wish to minimize the wonderful after-glow of euphoria surrounding the Obama victory, I’m surprised no one here is paying serious attention to the obvious dangers inherent in the ongoing Obama birth certificate controversy. This could in fact be rapidly coming to a boiling point with the December 15th electoral college vote (the day of the Saturn-Mars square in t-square to the US Mars). A major constitutional crisis of unprecedented proportions may be looming on the horizon. As much as we would prefer the ‘unmentionable’ problem to go away or to be ignored, there are many determined groups of people and organizations out there declaring that they will not allow this nomination to be certified. They are forcing the issue in a court of law - the Supreme Court to be exact. It’s my understanding the main SC hearing is scheduled for December 5th (Mercury in the late evening hours will be in close t-square to the Moon/Uranus-Saturn opposition). If the results are found to be inconclusive, would the electoral vote be delayed or pushed back indefinitely until a clear decision has been rendered? Imagine the violent backlash that would occur, with the unsavory thought and possibility of George W Bush still holding on to power beyond January 20th!!!

To play devil’s advocate here, one has to keep in mind what the primary contention is…….

if Obama had intentionally or knowingly allowed falsified documents to be submitted to the election board on his behalf, essentially providing misleading, false information regarding his natural habitat of birth in an effort to establish credentials as a natural born US citizen, (a legal requirement for eligibility as President), what might this suggest about his character? In other words, if in the interest of political ambition and expediency, he has knowingly broken laws on par of a felony; this would obviously bring into focus serious questions of impropriety. To put it mildly, this would not be the most prudent approach towards realizing ones ‘dreams’, especially in such a high profile position as his. The assertion then follows, that under those conditions, this elaborate, illegal ‘deception’, if allowed to continue, would be setting an unacceptable, morally wrong standard and should not be tolerated, especially when considering what’s at stake - the pursuit of the highest office. The reasoning then goes further in the belief that the ‘truth’ will most likely be uncovered sooner rather than later. To allow an Obama presidency to proceed and then invalidated after he takes office would not be in the best interest of the country.

Irrespective of ones personal feelings or beliefs on the matter (personally speaking I remain neutral), I find the circumstances rather sad and potentially highly disruptive to the nation. Given the astrological aspects, the situation remains tense and certain to heat up as we approach the December 12th full moon as discussed earlier (followed by the December 15th electoral vote/ Saturn-Mars square).

Polarik’s Final Report: Obama’s ‘Born’ Conspiracy

The following report is the culmination of over four months of intensive, empirical research whose sole purpose has been to determine if the images and photographs posted on the Internet are true reproductions of a genuine document purported to be Obama’s original birth certificate. The idea for the research actually began from the time when the first image was posted on June 12 to the Daily Kos blog. I don’t recall on which website I actually saw the story (most likely World Net Daily), but the news had gone viral basically from the moment that it hit the Internet.

Before seeing the image, I had no idea that Barack Obama’s birthplace was in question, or that his status as a natural-born US citizen had never been proven. Like millions of other Americans, I believed the story he told about being born in Hawaii to an American Mother (and a U.S. citizen) and an African Father (a Kenyan national attending college on a student visa). I had no idea that this issue would mushroom and take on a life of its own. What I did know, however, was that from the first time I saw the Daily Kos image, or what I now call, “Obama’s bogus birth certificate,” that something was just not right about it. As someone who has scanned hundreds of thousands of documents in his lifetime, I had a hard time accepting that this was an original scan image made from an original paper document. As Fate would have it, right then, on June 13, I was looking at the conclusive evidence that the text on this image had been graphically altered, or “manufactured,” as my first blog post would claim.

From that point onward, I had no inkling of what was to come. I had no idea that I would wind up being the only person on the Planet (at that time) to have spotted the anomalies that I knew were the by-products of intentional, graphic alteration, and to go on record as stating that the Daily Kos image was a fake. I was also not prepared for what came along with this knowledge, for what I had to endure for making it public. Basically, I had painted a big bullseye on my chest and my research findings, and the critics were now coming out of the virtual woodwork taking shots at me personally, and my research, secondly. I had started a new online game called, “Let’s pile on Polarik,” and every little error I made was magnified into a major transgression. Yet, the crux of my contention was never successfully refuted.

Now, if I had to do it all over again, I probably would not have done it at all, knowing that I’d be spending the next four months conducting further research and compiling evidence on not just the COLB image, but also the digital photographs that were to follow two months later. The personal costs to me were enormous, and I will not elucidate on them (but for those who know me, they also know what were those costs). What began as sort of a curiosity turned into my personal quest for the “Holy Grail,” so to speak. I was guided only by the need to uncover the truth, and by the constant harassment by my critics. Had they left me alone from the beginning, I probably would not be writing this report today.

I debated, long and hard, about the title of my report. Aside from it being catchy, I ran the danger of being lumped into a group of false conspiracy theorists, and brushed aside as an idiot wearing a “tinfoil hat.” (Actually, that’s already happened, many times over). Perhaps there are a lot of false conspiracies, including some really outlandish ones, but there would not be laws on the books, both at a state level and a federal level, that specifically mention the act of conspiracy when the purpose of that conspiracy is to either engage in illegal activity, engage in a cover-up of that illegal activity, or interfering with the investigation of that illegal activity. Conspiracy can involve all of these. Yet, somehow, the word, “Conspiracy,” has become a pejorative for “nutty theories from the fringe,” as if there has never been a real “conspiracy.”

Do you remember, or ever hear about, the “Watergate Conspiracy?” Do you remember, or ever hear about, what happened to President Richard Nixon as a result?

I would tell all of you who think that “conspiracies” are a joke and that the people who claim to have found them are “idiots wearing tinfoil hats,” to just ask an FBI agent what he or she thinks about “conspiracy.” Or, go ahead and ask a federal judge what he or she thinks about “conspiracy.”

“Conspiracy” is no laughing matter, ladies and gentlemen, and neither is “document fraud,” as in creating and passing a counterfeit birth certificate.

I should now alert you to the fact that I have been using the phrase, “Bogus birth certificate,” as a euphemism for “Counterfeit birth certificate,” which is defined as, “A copy or imitation of a state-issued birth certificate that is intended to be taken as authentic and genuine in order to deceive another.”

Sound familiar? According to Authenticate-360:

Birth certificates are generally used as “breeder” documents to gain other identity documents and to perpetuate fraud. But unlike Social Security cards, birth certificates are issued by hundreds, if not thousands, of entities, with little regard to consistency or security. An accurately forged birth certificate is a dangerous document, allowing the bearer significant access to everything from driver’s licenses to passports.The increasing availability and affordability of high-quality digital scanners and copiers is a constant threat to the authenticity of government issued documents.

There are current Federal laws in place that prohibit the use of false identity documents, such as a birth certificate, and they are spelled out in Chapter 18 of the United States Code, Section 1028, Fraud and related activity in connection with identification documents, authentication features, and information. In particular, there are specific paragraphs that relate to the use of a false identification document:

The term “false identification document” means a document of a type intended or commonly accepted for the purposes of identification of individuals that - (A) is not issued by or under the authority of a governmental entity or was issued under the authority of a governmental entity but was subsequently altered for purposes of deceit; and(B) appears to be issued by or under the authority of the United States Government, a State, a political subdivision of a State, a foreign government, a political subdivision of a foreign government, or an international governmental or quasi-governmental organization.

What you are about to read in this report are well-documented facts arising from evidence collected over a period of four months and subjected to intense scrutiny and empirical evaluation. Given the overriding fact that the individual whose identity document is in question, has repeatedly failed to provide a genuine identity document, the charge that this individual, along with other individuals, did conspire to proffer in its place, a false identification document, is hereby levied by the American people, by way of one of its citizens. To summarize the seriousness of these actions and this charge, and to the importance of what is contained within this report:

There is conclusive and irrefutable evidence that the COLB image created and distributed by Obama’s campaign to the Daily Kos, Annenberg’s Factcheck, and the St. Pete Times, Politifact, is, unquestionably, a false identification document. Furthermore, there is conclusive and irrefutable evidence that the photos taken by Annenberg’s Factcheck, in collusion with the Obama campaign, are themselves, false identification documents, having been made from the same false identification document image, as well as from additional false identification documents created for the same purpose; namely, to proffer these false identification documents as true reproductions of a genuine, Hawaii-issued and certified, “Certification of Live Birth” document, and thereby, intentionally deceive the American public into believing that Barack Hussein Obama is a natural-born citizen of the United States, and thereby, fully qualified to become their President.

I never imagined that my studies would amount to this. I thought, like most Americans, that maybe the information was accurate even though the document image was fake. I thought, like most Americans, that Obama would simply present a copy of his real, original birth certificate, and that would be that. Yet, here we are, more than twenty months after Obama announced his candidacy for the Presidency, and nearly three weeks after the election, and Obama still refuses to show his real birth certificate!

Sadly, mainstream media have totally ignored this inconvenient truth and are not even been willing to even look at this birth certificate issue. They are all still in-the-tank with Obama, but even more so now that he is in line to be President. They all bought into the lies and fraudulent documents proffered up as evidence on Obama’s qualifications. They have been too quick to label as “trash” or “garbage” any legitimate questions asked about Obama’s real birth certificate. Even high-ranking governmental officials in the state of Hawaii where Obama was allegedly born, won’t reveal what’s on Obama’s original birth certificate. All they have said is that they have it. They have not said (1) where Obama was born. (2) when Obama was born, or even to whom Obama was born.

The answer to “What’s on Barack Obama’s real, original birth certificate” ranks right up there with some of the great mysteries of our time - and that is really hard to swallow. That a man, with a dubious background, has been elected to the highest office of the greatest superpower in the world without ever having to prove who he says he is! That is not “nutty,” that’s just plain insane!

With all that said, and without further ado, I present to you my final and complete report on Barack Obama’s bogus birth certificate, The Born Conspiracy.

Given that the seeds of the Protestant Reformation were sown within two years of Pluto’s passage into Capricorn in 1515, I’d say that yesterday’s attack might well have implications for the future of certain authoritarian Islamic sects - which is to say, those in Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc.

This extremism has definite roots, and those roots lie in Saudi and Iran - and the time may well be coming when be fellow Muslims will be the ones who seek to bring it to an end. This is why, IMHO, the US has to get itself OUT OF THE WAY in the Middle East, and stop making its policies the issues. There is ample authoritarian grist for Pluto’s mill to grind during its passage through Capricorn and Aquarius. There’s little need for us to insert ourselves into this equation.

I have a question — where’s Jerry? Wasn’t he living in India at some point? I hope he is okay. I’ve not been following the blog here in recent months as much as I’d like to so sorry if I missed something.

Also — Zeroariestrian, what was it like having Pluto on your IC and squaring your ascendant? I’m going into this right now — and already, my parents, in their mid-sixties and married for forty years are now in a messy divorce (totally unexpected). My childhood home was also sold, which was less devastating than the divorce is turning out to be, but hard nonetheless. (As it turned out my mother sold the house on false pretenses with the full intention to divorce my dad right after.) That was quite a purging, of both actual stuff and psychic detritus. I’d love to hear about other Plutonic events I might expect. And — where’s the gold? What happens after the transformation is complete? I have to have something to look forward to. BTW — I have Mars in the 4th, but at 19 degrees, so that barrel of fun is still years away. And my sun in Aries is going to get it a few years later. Um, help?

Every time I have seen Bush in the last many months, I feel he is drinking. It seems quite obvious to me. We have even seen pictures of him toasting with others at diplomatic events. There was a recent article about him toasting with some Peruvian national alcoholic drink when he was there. I think this is a story that will come out within 18 months after he leaves. I would be very surprised if it wasn’t true.

Yes, I read the drinking in Peru and saw the photo too, of him drinking. You have always been right—and wonder too, if that is why he tries to not come out and his handlers keep him under wraps??

LJ - Remember how thin-skinned he used to be and how easily irritated? Now he is reviled throughout the world and has failed at everything. He is leaving an enormous disaster of epic proportions, being compared to Hoover, labeled the worst ever, and the publishers don’t even want a book deal. A normal person would be really depressed. Remember Nixon? But Bush is happier than ever, cheerful, joking, and really seems tipsy to me, all the time. I think he has numbed himself.

Starlight & LJ, I agree about Bush. I’ve been in recovery for 28 years, and I think you can tell just by looking at his face. I saw the post at Huffington showing him drinking the local cocktail. Not proof of course, but his skin has that look to me.

I also have a sense about Bush that his self illusion that history will make a hero out of him ala Truman is eroding.

I am so damn grateful that Mr. Obama is going to Washington. Last summer I commented that this election was going to be a referendum on the relative intelligence/stupidity of the American people. Guess what. The intelligence won!

I read the link you provided. Thanks. In his report, Polarik makes the allegation that Factcheck is not in fact an independent investigative body but is closely aligned with the Obama campaign and hence their vehement rebuttals. If you read the Polarik report carefully you’ll notice that he has clearly distanced himself from the remarks and findings of Jerome Corsi, which he feels is based on incorrect evidence and inuendo. Factchecks only cites Jerome Corsi’s findings; taking him to task for being inaccurate and misleading, but nowhere does it mention anything about the Polarik report.

Quite honestly, I’m not an expert in these matters and so I’m not in a position to gauge whether these claims and counter-claims are true or not. So much is at stake, that I’m not surprised this has become a hotly contested issue. It should be interesting to hear the findings of the Supreme Court. The ball is in their court - or should it be more accurately said, the ball is in the Truth; and that truth will eventually sooner or later have to emerge. Pluto’s ingress into Capricorn will see to that. Pluto in Capr. (the domain of government) is thorough and intensely non-discriminating in getting to the bottom of these things.

The Supreme Court, having decided a presidential election before, which apparently spoiled their internal relations for years, will in any sense of balance never send Obama home.

I found this article, which is far too long, but the first few paragraphs, describes the Human Rights problems of the people. Some business is thriving, but the people are not paid a decent wage–sort of like we are becoming!! He is friends with Iran–which is ok–but he could work to cement better relations with the U.S. then? I gather you didn’t fully read the Ron Polarik report I submitted earlier. He addreses this issue and others in exhaustive detail. In spite of all the postulations made that there is “irrefutable evidence” of a genuine existing Birth Certificate document (aka COLB); according to Mr. Polarik, none to date had been posted online with the back of the COLB document properly displayed, complete with up-raised seal and signature in its respective JPG or GIF format. The FactCheck URL link that Will shared with us a little earlier contained several photos of someone holding up a COLB document a couple of feet away from an ordinary camera showing a raised seal and signature on the back struck me as a rather strange attempt at deflecting further questions. Obviously this purported document of Obama’s could never have been examined and scrutinized digitally under proper computerized laboratory tests. Many more things can be said about that, but that might be digressing a bit.

I was simply stressing that the overview of the trends are significant, though it may be inadvertantly lost if ones emotional leanings have the upper-hand - clouding ones perceptions.

So the question is, is it possible Mr. Obama had ignored the normal parameters of legality and discretion in the ardent pursuit of the Presidency? He has been characterized by a number of personal friends and acquaintances in various political circles as being extremely driven and determined, to the point of sometimes going beyond accepted behaviour. Would this explain the discrepancies in the so-called counterfeit birth certificate? We all make mistakes in judgement from time to time. Crunch time however could come at a price and at a crucial moment. Whether the Supreme Court hears the evidence or not, the movement to stop his nomination is gaining speed. With Uranus, Saturn and Mars perfectly entwined within the mid December Full Moon, unexpected things can happen.

Another interesting piece of knowledge, is that Kenya has a “caste” system. His father had reached his ceiling of authority. Seems , at least, his father had tried to push the system. I did know that the Black Churches were a way to recognition, as MLK. Cannot fault Obama for going that route. I felt too, that he was looking for his “place” and a sad alienation in growing up. Jill - I don’t really see anything troubling in the Winter chart. Mars conjuncts the Ascendant (24/25 Sag) but it is also sextile the Moon (24 Libra) and sextile Neptune (22 Aquarius), with Moon and Neptune trine. So the Mars/ Ascendant would seem more to be about energy well utilized than violence. People did not stop to help the employee as he lay on the ground, and they pushed against other Wal-Mart workers who were trying to aid Mr. Damour. The crowd kept running into the store even after the police arrived, jostling and pushing officers who were trying to perform CPR, the police said.

“They were like a stampede,” said Nassau Det. Lt. Michael Fleming. “Hundreds of people walked past him, over him or around him.”

Pluto is back at zero cancer, opposite my Venus - exact Dec 13th at 0.34. I am moving slowly and carefully forward and not spending any money I don’t have to. I am actually preparing to finish repairs on my house and sell it - in this market…to try to pick up some land with a small house or some structure on it in a more rural area. With an eye to Uranus coming square to my Moon, and Neptune coming to conjunct my Chiron… Luck would be nice.

With Pluto at 0 ‘54 Capricorn it appears as though they are in applying conjunction. Or perhaps you meant something else? I think the Sun-Pluto conjunction in the Solstice chart could be considered a major milestone of sorts because of its dynamic square to the US midheaven (1 ‘03 Libra) followed two days later by the US progressed Full Moon.

At this point, Supreme Court Justice David Souter’s Clerk informed Philip J. Berg, the lawyer who brought the case against Obama, that his petition for an injunction to stay the November 4th election was denied, but the Clerk also required the defendants to respond to the Writ of Certiorari (which requires the concurrence of four Justices) by December 1. At that time, Mr. Obama must present to the Court an authentic birth certificate, after which Mr. Berg will respond.

If Obama fails to do that, it is sure to inspire the skepticism of the Justices, who are unaccustomed to being defied. They will have to decide what to do about a president-elect who refuses to prove his natural-born citizenship.

“I can see a unanimous Court (en banc) decertifying the election if Obama refuses to produce his birth certificate,” says Raymond S. Kraft, an attorney and writer. “They cannot do otherwise without abandoning all credibility as guardians of the Constitution. Even the most liberal justices, however loathe they may to do this, still consider themselves guardians of the Constitution. The Court is very jealous of its power - even over presidents, even over presidents-elect.”

Also remember that on December 15, the Electoral College meets to casts its votes. If it has been determined that Mr. Obama is an illegal alien and therefore ineligible to become President of the United States, the Electors will be duty-bound to honor the Constitution.

LJ–Wow, I can’t believed you haven’t noticed the big Twilight wave sweeping the country. Maybe that’s a good thing.

‘Twilight’ is a series of books about a teenage girl falling in love with a vampire. I’ve read the first book, and all I can say that it is absolutely dreadful for too many reasons to list. Despite that, it’s the next big book craze since Harry Potter, touching close to cult like devotion from its readership of young girls. A film version of the first book came out a week ago, hitting number one at the box office, with more movies in the works to cover the rest of the book series.

Maybe it’s because I live in a college town that I can’t escape the overwhelming magnitude of the books’ popularity. Not to sound like an old prude–Lord knows I’ve displayed many times over a radical love for silly things–but some of the behavior from devoted fans are down right eye rolling. I’ve seen girls slightly injuring their necks to affect vampire marks, whitening their faces to look like the undead (not like that’s anything new), getting tattoos of the characters’ names, etc.

I bring this up because I’m so amazed how swept up everyone is by these books. It almost seems unreal, but I guess every fad in which you’re not apart does seem unreal. That’s why I was wondering about the planetary influences causing this cultural phenomenon.

I have to add that I’m absolutely thrilled by the idea of Power coming into Obama’s administration. I would have liked to her as SoS over Clinton since she’s many times smarter, but just to have her in any foreign advisory role is better than not.

I’m traveling to Africa on the 11th arriving on the 12th: is there any reason I should be overly concerned about safety with all that is happening (Sun and then Mars square transiting Uranus at 18Pisces).

The Myrna Lofthus book is very good. For real amateurs : “Astrology for Dummies” or “The Only Astrology Book You will ever Need”–amazon.com has some cheap used books. Jeff Greene’s “Pluto Vol. I” is good. I used to read Robert Hand and Liz Greene. You can then work up to esoterical astrology. I am sure others can recommend to you too. I never stop learning.

When reading through the material thoroughly, one quickly realizes that the language used, along with the rebuttals and explanations given, have all the characteristics of being highly defensive and emotionally charged. They are relying solely on ‘reasoning’ and inuendo. Nothing is provided in that web-page containing substantive proof that can be proved in a court of law. It is trying to persuade the reader in a not so subtle way that there is nothing there that warrants investigation.

I’ve not been following the court dockets that closely because of the complicated legalistic terminology, but from what I have gathered, the law-suit filed by Philip Berg has sufficient cause for the Supreme Court to decide whether they should hear the evidence. In the Berg-Obama case - response by the defendants are due today (December 1st) to refute the evidence presented; at which time Mr.Berg will have the opportunity to respond in kind. The details in the court hearing is being suppressed, but if there is even an iota of truth to the “rumours” circulating some of the blogs recently; that several copies of Barack Obama’s birth cetificate do in fact exist showing incriminating evidence that he was born at Coast Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya, then we should start bracing ourselves for an intense constitutional crisis starting on December 5th onwards, beginning with the Supreme Court Conference on the 5th and culminating with the Electoral College Vote scheduled for the 15th (coinciding with the Mars-Saturn square). The correlating astrological aspects in tandem with these crucial dates (as discussed earlier) seem to support the impression that we are approaching a very turbulent period ahead. Refer to the following Blog article, an excerpt from ‘Obama Born In Kenya?’:

“…….. I have received an unverified tip that certified copies of a Kenyan Birth Certificate (BC) for Obama were sent from Kenya, and have been received by three separate individuals. I am told that these documents are certified, with an embossed seal, and display the name of the hospital where Obama was born, as well as witness signatures.

I doubt there are too many people left in the world who don’t already know, but right about now marks 24 hours since Mumbai has been laid under seige by a group of terrorists of indeterminent origins who have attacked 10 different areas around the city, with the focus of their attacks being the 5-star Taj and Oberoi-Trident hotels where approximately 20-100 hostages are still being held.

I thought I would share my story of the last 48 hours for my friends and family and anyone else who might be interested and wondering about my safety. To get that question out of the way, I am currently safe in my neighborhood of Andheri, which is far North of the majority of the attacks in the city, although I must admit its a strange feeling to be actually feeling unease at walking the street, something I never though I would experience in my beloved country of India. Sure, discomfort at being stared at incessently, but actual fear of bodily harm . . . how can this be happening?

LJ - Yes, Pluto in Capricorn is causing changes in many regimes. As for Netanyahu, he is a hawk, which is why people who hope for peace in the ME and a cessation or restriction of those Israeli settlements in the West Bank, would not be happy with him.

Jones has a Sun/Moon/Saturn T-square, so he is very disciplined and controlled. We don’t know his birth time but it could be that Saturn moves fairly quickly across that T square in September 2009 and won’t be a big deal. With the Mars/Uranus and all the Saturn, he is aggressive but controlled. Mars/Uranus is sextile Pluto Node. Also Sun is trine Jupiter which is very helpful and brings many benefits, offsetting the difficulties of Saturn and the rashness of Uranus/Mars.

I had an odd connection to this story: on Thanksgiving day, I got a very frantic phone call from an old friend of mine who now lives in Virginia. Her daughter’s best friend and her father had been in India and were the only Americans unaccounted for. She wanted to know if they were still alive. I didn’t think they were, sadly, and not too long later my friend called to say that her daughter’s friend Naomi and her father Alan Scherr had been identified as dead.

Naomi was the only child in what my friend described as a cultish organization (I do have clients in small spiritual communities that are always considered to be cults by anyone not in them; hard to know if this is true or not). She was an unwilling homeschooled child who very much wanted to be in regular school, according to my friend, whose daughter is also homeschooled. The homeschool community in this very rural area is tiny: about 10 kids total.

My friend and her daughter are beyond devastated. Her daughter has lost her closest friend and is completely grief-stricken.

What do I know? but in the pictures of Alan, he seemed “cocky”. I understand the word “cult” can be misconstrued, and it is just commmunity.
I have wondered why the mother did not go? Sounds like he might have had some control issues? However; I feel for the friend, if she feels isolated, this will be worse for her. I hope someone makes some changes in her life. Too sad for children,–and everyone.

“….The First Quarter Moon of December 5th is quite a powerful configuration, with the Moon conjunct Uranus while the Sun closely conjuncts Mars, bringing unexpected events very much into the picture. This might be a good time to be careful of accidents or unexpected consequences, a time to remember to “look before you leap.” Then, the Full Moon of Friday the 12th forms a Grand Cross in Mutable signs with Uranus and Saturn. Saturn is also exactly inconjunct Neptune at this time, and stands alone, apart from the other planets, and therefore emphasized. Responsible attitudes prevail. Taking place on Sunday, December 21st, as the Sun enters the mountain goat sign, this time of the shortest day of the year is always powerfully significant, but this year even more so with Pluto occupying that same first degree of Capricorn. It’s a powerful end-of-the-month time with also an important New Moon two days after Christmas on the 27th. This New Moon heralds a Capricorn line-up of six planets – Sun, Moon, Mercury and Jupiter, with Mars and Pluto conjunct in the first degrees. Venus is also exactly conjunct Neptune, to the minute, so that the peaceful energy of compassionate relationship and a spiritual sense of oneness also colors this time period, when the year is changing over to 2009. The chart for midnight December 31st again features Saturn apart from and roughly opposed to all the other planets, bringing up once more this accompanying sense of limitation and responsibility, although a Pisces Moon sextile to Mars and Pluto sweetens the mix of energy for the New Year.

Transits to the U.S. Chart

Last month we referenced the idealism implicit in the emphasis on U.S. Neptune, as Neptune in the sky come close to an exact aspect with it while transiting Saturn conjuncts it. Since Saturn is involved its position in the Tenth House of the U.S. chart comes into play, representing the office of the chief executive. Neptune is a slippery archetype that can represent high ideals or confusion, illusion, even deception. One reading would be idealism in reference to authority figures such as the president, while another would be concerns regarding motivation and conduct with this new administration, and we have seen both sides expressed in November news items. There is the general love affair of the American public and indeed the world population regarding the character of our new president-elect, and yet there were also concerns voiced that he may be packing his administration full of Washington insiders from the previous two administrations, in contrast to his mandate and his promise for change. His answer that he needs their experience in order to get the job done rings true, but still is a cause for concern in certain left-leaning circles. His choosing to keep Robert Gates on as Defense Secretary seems particularly troubling. On the idealism side of the equation, we were also treated to the image, and Neptune is all about images, of Mr. Obama together with his children handing out chickens to poor folks in Chicago, a Thanksgiving Day tradition of several years standing for him and his family.

In the current month of December, the most volatile day is the December 12th Full Moon Grand Cross in Mutable signs referenced above, which lights up the Neptune – Mars square in the U.S. chart quite exactly. This square, which is always present in the U.S. chart and therefore in the national character, can symbolize once again the two sides of Neptune, either on the one hand an idealistic stance that this country takes again and again with respect to generosity to others and love of equality, and of learning; or on the other the deception and illusion also implied in this country’s movie star and action hero images that captivate the thinking and feeling process of young and old alike. Deception is also no stranger to the military in this country, symbolized by Mars. Certainly deception has played a large role in the beginnings of most of this country’s wars for example, as in the trumped-up Gulf of Tonkin incident that lead to the escalation in Viet Nam, or more recently the descriptions of Iraqi thefts of incubators from Kuwaiti hospitals during the first Gulf War in 1991, that turned out to have been wholly fabricated.

We might see some of these themes played out once again in the mid-December timeframe, especially on the weekend following the 12th, when the energy is potent in relation to these U.S. planets. Saturn is triggered by the Sun and Moon, which are squaring it exactly at the time of this powerful Full Moon, and Saturn is making a very close square with U.S. Mars, within 5 minutes of a degree, and a an almost exact conjunction with U.S. Neptune. Meanwhile Mercury joins Pluto in the first degree of Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, in the First House of the U.S. chart, signaling significant unfolding events that might serve to make more obvious whatever power plays are in the works, consciously or unconsciously, with regard to U.S foreign policy and the nation. One reading of this mid-month time frame would be that the military will once again be seen to play an illusory or a deceptive role, while another would be that economic news might take a sudden turn, either up or down. Once again, the power of illusion represents an important piece of this symbolism.

Great Advice form the Daily Kos

[L]et’s just say this as Barack Obama introduces his national security team and people huff and puff about whether they’re hawks or not progressive enough or problem children or disappointing or what the fuck ever: Ultimately, the cabinet does the bidding of the president. Sure, they offer ideas and guide the departments. But they are policy implementers. Nothing less and nothing more. You have to be willing to go along with the boss to do the job, or you don’t take it. And it’s all a political game. If we know anything at all about Barack Obama, it’s that he’s one crafty motherfucker in the realm of politics.

If you wanted to, say, change the course of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and our strategic relationships around the globe, who’s gonna do it without pissing people off? Secretary of Defense Dennis Kucinich? Fuck no. You get the guys and gals who were proponents of the war in at least some way or have cozy goddamn Capitol Hill relationships. If the great and glorious David Petraeus and the shiny Robert Gates are saying, “Bring the troops home,” then you’ve defused your enemies. It ain’t Clintonian triangulation, which involved embracing a watered-down version of your opponents’ beliefs. It’s just fuckin’ smart. The same goes for economic policy and it will go for domestic.

Yeah, if Obama lets his hawks run the place and make him break his promises, then we can squawk. But for now, can we just take a breath and see how it all works out?

The Synchronicity Foundation is not a cult. I have several personal connections to it, including that my fiance was with Master Charles Cannon in India with Swami Muktananda in the 1970’s. I also have a good personal friend who recently lived at the compound in Virginia for several years.

They are a very unusual group of spiritual seekers, using technological means to try to speed the way to enlightenment. I have used some of their meditation CDs in my own spiritual practice, and they do have a beneficial effect.

Master Charles, whom I have met, is a very eccentric individual, for sure. But he does not lead a cult.

I have read a lot of people in a lot of spiritual organizations, and as I said, generally anyone who is not in them regards them as a cult. I don’t know anyone in the Synchronicity Foundation and am in no position to judge. My friend did tell me that Naomi was very isolated in that community, because apparently there were no other children. The only area where she knew other children was in the homeschooling community. This fact doesn’t indicate a cult either, but it is sad to me that she was that cut off from socializing with other kids, particularly when she wanted very much to be doing just that. As a parent, I would never do that–but it is not my family, and not for me to judge.

Hummingbird, I agree with you that the word “cult” gets used very loosely - it is a fear-based word. It is far easier for people to slap such a label on a spiritual community instead of trying to understand what the community is about. I just wanted to contribute what I know to the discussion, to help clarify things.

From everything I’ve heard, the Virginia compound (I haven’t been there myself) is indeed very isolated, and I can believe that that would have been hard for young Naomi. My fiance tells me that he saw the children of Muktananda’s devotees in India go through feeling cut off in a similar way. This exposes a dimension of spiritual life that should probably get more attention - the children are so important!

The Transcendental Meditation (TM) teacher was Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, very well known as the meditation teacher of the Beatles and other celebrities. He died in February of this year.

The organization that teaches TM (and also runs Ayurveda health centers and sells Ayurvedic supplements and herbs) still exists. They have several websites, including tm.org. I have visited a couple of their health centers for Ayurvedic health cleanses, and they do a great job. The organization also runs a university, Maharishi University, in Fairfield, Iowa.

This might be interesting to some of you.

Regarding the effect of a direct Pluto square to one’s sun;

Rosie O’Donnell also has a 0-degree Aries Sun. She launched a big, prime-time, live, variety show last Wednesday evening - just when Pluto was ingressing at 0-Aries. I was so hoping the show would get re-scheduled. Unfortunately, the show tanked that very first run and its now history.

Actually, cult is not a negative word. It just means a group of followers or sect in a system of religious worship or ritual. Many christian religions regard other christian religious which differ from their own as cults. Amazingly stupid, isn’t it?

Brian - Saturn is now stationary on your Venus and semisquare your Sun, making things seem quite grim and hard to move in a forward direction. You have a natal Saturn/Sun square so you’re feeling the semisquare quite acutely. It would help to have the degree and minute location of both Venus and Sun for more clarification. Roughly, this will go through early February. This is a time of hard work, melancholy, discipline, and probably little to show for it. You can work hard to prepare the field for some future task, but I wouldn’t do anything daring right now. This is a hard work and little reward period where you keep a low profile. At some point in late January (again I need specific minutes to be more specific) through mid-February, Uranus will oppose Venus for the final time. This will complete the change you began around April 2008. It will bring a big transformation in your life, a letting go and moving on into the next phase. Things wills tart to move quickly again after a very sluggish December and January. By late February things will settle down and you will know where you are. The worst of the heavy pressure will have lifted by then.

I think you are quite right. He is a very lucky young man. A seemingly casual decision to not linger at the Leopold’s restaurant may have saved his life. The owners of Leopold’s are acquaintances of mine, and good friends of Michaels. They have an association to Meher Baba. It is all rather sad and horrific. Come to find out Leopold’s restaurant is the very same cafe described in the famous best-seller Shantaram by Greg Roberts, based on the Australian authors true life story (currently in film production, starring Johnny Depp as the main character). This eatery has been known for many decades as the ‘in-place’ for expatriates. The cafe is extensively described in colorful detail in Robert’s book. I for one know it intimately, having frequented the place during my extended stay in Bombay during the months of May and June of 1971. At the time, I was actively searching for a ship to work my passage back to the States (finally secured passage on a Norwegian freighter). My sense is that the US and some of its allies will be at war with Pakistan in fairly short order. We’ve seen signs of Pakistani ambivalence with Al Qada for quite some time. During the primary campaigns, Pakistan was singled out by Hillary as perhaps the biggest threat to stability in that part of the world. I think she was dead-nuts on.

L.J., here is the wikipedia article on Rahm Emmanuel. He’s had quite a busy and productive life both in politics and finance. Before being named Obama’s Chief of Staff, he was the 4th ranking Democrat in the House. I’d say he might be a little too busy with his own career and activities in the U.S. government to be a member of the Mossad, but I can see why some might want to think that. His father, an Israeli Pediatrician, fought with the Irgun in the early days of Israeli. Although called a terrorist organization by some, there were corresponding military activities on the Arab side. Both sides were at war. His father recently made a disparaging remark publicly against Arabs and Rahm called the head of the Arab-American Association to fully apologize. His father is from a different generation and had different experiences and ideas. Rahm is supposed to have been in the Israeli army during the 1st Gulf War, but even that is not correct. He was a civilian volunteer who fixed truck brakes. I know others who have donet this - in return your airfare and living expenses are paid. Lastly, Obama’s administration is probably going to be very diverse. I find it strange that you would worry about a preponderance of Scorpios and Jews. I would like to think that Obama is tapping the people he feels will do the best job.

That anyone currently in human form would claim to be “God”, or even representative of “God”, and then have a MAJOR EMOTIONAL OR FINANCIAL INVESTMENT in anyone else sharing that belief, strikes me as deeply problematic, if not evidence of either outright charlatanism or messianic delusions.

In my mind, the tendency of specific individuals or groups to either encourage or discourage critical thinking is the acid test. So, clearly, this is not a phenomenon that is limited to exotic or “new age” religions. For instance, in my view, the ludicrous claim of papal infallibility in areas of faith and doctrine is as representative of this phenomenon as any attempt by a money hungry or power-mad guru to control followers - as the Martin Luther of 1519, facing almost certain execution were he to be captured, brought to Rome, and refuse to renounce his convictions, would doubtless testify.

The people of Pakistan will experience tremendous suffering in the summer and fall of 2013, for that is when Pakistan’s natal Saturn-Pluto conjunction progresses via Solar Arc to square their nation’s natal Moon. Thank you for your info. I have no real clue of Rahm’s real background. There are so many diverse pieces written about him, that who is to know what the truth is. He has been a good friend to Obama, it appears, and good for Chicago. Obama has chosen brilliant people and a lot happen to be heavy in Scorpio, but do not think he knows that. I believe most of our Presidents have been Scorpios. My experience is that they are great with keeping secrets. I worry that If we have so many Jewish connections in the administration, that we will not keep an open mind about the Arab countries. Might be impossible, but would like for them to all get along. We have to protect Isreal, but worry that we could go to far. I wait to see how we interact with diplomacy with all the countries. Again, Obama has picked brilliant experienced people, but they all seem to interconnect and travel somehow, in the same circles. I am very happy when there is someone outside the box, like maybe the new Sec. of Labor. and Janet Napolitano. I try everyday to keep a positive outlook. These are only personal reflections.

I have been reading Gregory David Robert’s book “Shantaram” for the past month (a wonderful rich read, I highly recommend)! It was surreal to listen to/watch the news stories pouring out after having just read references in the novel the week prior!

At the same time, I was getting emails from the daughter of friend from Los Angeles who happenned to be in Mumbai (on a tour) when this all occurred. She spent 36 long hours holed up in her hotel room at the Oberoi-Trident - getting news of the developing story via phone or TV (when service was available).

The world sometimes is a very very small place…

I see your point. I, too, want peace in the ME (and in the world), and I want to see the Palestinians have their own successful state, and I want to see the U.S. treat all countries equally and fairly. After reading “Infidel,” the problem as I see it is that the Koran literally tells its adherents to convert and then kill the infidel and that husbands can beat the wives, that a woman’s life is only worth 1/2 of a man’s (or another lesser amount), etc. We in the West who try to live by reason and civility think that most Muslims do not believe in these practices; however I now know that there are many more than we realize. The Arab Brotherhood has spread since the 70s and they, along with all the other religious Islamic groups, teach that the Koran is literally the word of Allah, to be accepted in its entirety. We have lived in relative calm here in the U.S. since 911 while many in the Muslim world have been embracing religion and religious-militia groups who provide sustainance and basic services, instead of their own corrupt, selfish governments. Bush may have actually thought it was right to get rid of a corrupt, selfish, cruel government in Iraq so people could embrace a better way of life and government, never realizing this approach would backfire against him. Many Mulim children were given ultra religious enducation in the 80s and 90s (through today) which involved an image of Jews as monsters (with horns) who are behind every bad thing that happens to them. These children and those that followed them are now old enough to join the Jihad. Many more look to the philosophy of life in the hereafter as a release and reward for living according to the Law of Islam. We need all the democracy and civilized countries we can find in the Mid-East and Africa. That is why we protect our strong alliance with Israel. The problem with the Arab countries is that they are largely not Democratic (except for Iran and they picked a leader who “probably” is someone the U.S. can treat as trustworthy), and there may be no way to determine how many residents feel it is their duty to convert or kill infidels. These are the ideas I picked up from the book (”Infidel”) and they seem very credible because the author is not only extremely intelligent and articulate, she survived an upbringing in these cultures in order to live and tell the tale. She was a member of Dutch Parliment at the time she received death threats for criticizing Muslim attiudes and treatment of women. Theo Van Gogh, a collaborator of hers in a film called “Submission” was assasinated and she was the next target. Some people are taking it for granted that the U.S. Jews, the Israelis, the Neocons, are acting in their best interests SOLELY but that is not the case. You have to see the larger picture. Even if the existance of Israel, the steps it has taken to protect its right to exist as a country and its security, and the actions of the U.S. in the world are at least partly wrong (there are 2 sides to every story) and are root causes of the Islamic Holy War, other causes exist that involved the quality of life in many of these countries, the treatment of the people, and the severe expectations, especially of women (Hell and Paradise are 2 major concepts used, and people are threatened with Hell if they don’t follow the Law as well as rewarded with Paradise). But no matter the cause, the world must be protected from these murders on one hand, while doing what it can to affirm reason and education among those who are embracing the idea that the world must be converted to Islam or die. These issues muddy up those of fairness and equity between Israel and the Palestinians. Most Jews want to see this happen, but if they make themselves vulnerable, it is felt that an ideology will still exist that demands their demise and that of the West. One of the reasons that Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the author of “Infidel” had to leave Holland was that she felt is was a place that tried to be so culturally tolerant and respectful of individual and cultural freedomand, it permits the perpetration of criminal acts and domestic abuse among the Muslim culture that resides there.

Hang in there Brian, and know that the best is yet to come!

Earlier I pointed out that Bonds were at an all-time high, which means interest rates and yields are at historic lows. If you need a loan or mortgage, and can get it, lock it in now. I don’t think you will be seeing these levels again in this lifetime. Why? Everybody talks of deflation. But the only way I can see out of this economic free fall is to create more money and inflate. With Pluto in such a prominent position to the FRB chart (Dec 23, 1913, time unknown) during all of 2009, and Saturn and Uranus both coming up to form a grand square to its natal Sun-Pluto opposition the year after, I don’t think this entity will have the power it has today. Or else it will have more power than is healthy for this society. Huge changes are likely in store for the FRB, its leader, and consequently for the people of the United States regarding the value of money.
