As the nation lurches closer to a self-imposed disaster and the loonies on the Right become increasingly crazed, there are a few rays of hope stemming from the Senate. At the moment, we are holding our collective breath to see if a deal can be reached before pervasive economic destruction unfolds.
Some damage, however, may already be inevitable. There is no way to prevent the international community from witnessing our extraordinary humiliation at the hands of the Psychotic Caucus. As an agitated world watches in disbelief, the land of the once-dependable dollar, the tried and true anchor currency of choice, is becoming undependable and irresponsible. To those who can still perceive reality, the House Republicans have become little more than giggling toddlers playing with matches in a dry and dusty barn.
Getting a clear read on the outcome of the current crisis is difficult. For President Obama, there is significant and building stress and frustration, from October 14 through October 24, with Saturn square his Sun (12Leo33) and opposite the Inaugural Ascendant (12Scorpio43). This suggests either some compromises he feels forced into or some fallout from the current crisis that is problematic. Things seem to ease considerably for him after that, however, until the end of November, when Saturn moves to sesquiquadrate his Venus (1Cancer47) and then square his Ascendant (18Aquarius03) from November 28 through December 9.
The Inaugural chart is under serious pressure and difficulty for the second half of December, with transiting Saturn opposite the Inaugural Moon (19Taurus38) and square to Inaugural Mars (20Aquarius13). This transit may also activate the May 2013 solar eclipse (19Taurus31) which could portend particular trouble for the administration. The simultaneous activation of the Uranus/Pluto square by Mars, the Sun, and Mercury, between December 22 and December 31, suggests a series of explosive, transformative and fast-moving situations in many parts of the world during the final 10 days of the year.
From what I can tell, the leading Democratic charts do not seem stressed from now through November, but share some very difficult transits during the second half of December, since many have planets at 19 to 20 of the fixed signs. Saturn will be crossing 19 to 20 Scorpio in December.
Republicans, on the other hand, seem likely to have a more difficult time in the coming weeks, possibly due to fallout from their current self-created mess. Moreover, they will be under particular duress in early 2014. Many of them have planets between 21 and 23 of the fixed signs and will be negatively impacted by the Saturn station at 23 Scorpio from January through April. Perhaps it is simply some appropriate karma for unleashing Frankenstein’s monster on the rest of us.
